Jane Wiley called me in the summer of 2004 and asked to have lunch. It must have been late July, as I had just flown home from Edmonton, Alberta, with my latest Airedale puppy, Nightsun Beau Soleil (Sunny). The journals of the Wisconsin Legislature show that Jane had just been appointed to the Natural Resources Board (NRB), by Gov. Jim Doyle. I had taken my seat on the board in April. She just wanted to meet, get to know each other, and discuss the confirmation process.
