Five nonprofit organizations receive grants for conservation efforts in Iowa Great Lakes

The 41st Walleye Weekend held on the Iowa Great Lakes May 6-7 had nearly 2,000 anglers enter the contest. In addition to the excitement of the contest, following each year’s Walleye Weekend, the Iowa Great Lakes Chamber of Commerce, through an application process, gives back a portion of the Iowa Great Lakes Walleye Weekend proceeds to nonprofit organizations with ideas that will benefit angling in the Iowa Great Lakes.
