Robbing the bank: Fly fishermen shouldn’t always cast midstream

Historically, some of our country’s most notorious criminals robbed banks. Names like Jesse James and John Dillinger come to mind. These criminals came to bad ends.
Like them, I enjoy robbing banks; but I am not a criminal, and I hope not to come to a bad end. The banks I rob are not money depositories; the ones I rob are creek and river banks.
