Six residents of Franklin County were criminally charged in late May for allegedly going on what the Pennsylvania Game Commission termed “a poaching spree,” killing more than 100 deer in six months.
They allegedly shot the deer and left most of them to rot over this past fall and winter. Commission law-enforcement officials called the actions a “complete disregard for our wildlife resources.”
