Commentary: Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission takes no separate enforcement action in fish-kill case

The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission took no separate enforcement action in the Valley Brook Country Club Pesticide Runoff Case that killed 122,586 fish in Chartiers Creek, Washington County. That was troubling. During my 30-year career as a commission fisheries biologist and chief of the agency’s Environmental Services Division, my staff and I assisted commission law enforcement in the investigation of hundreds of water pollution incidents and fish kills.
