Minnesota bills introduced to renew state’s Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund

Josh Heintzeman, the Republican lead for the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee, said if the Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund is renewed, he wants to see a clearer focus on dedicating dollars to projects that will directly enhance outdoor recreation opportunities in the areas of hunting, fishing, water recreation, and park and trails operations and maintenance.

The Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund – which distributes lottery proceeds to the outdoors – is set to expire in 2025. But House and Senate bills have been introduced for trust fund renewal.
