Michigan third in the country in CWD spending

Michigan spent $1.3 million on CWD in 2021, mostly on testing deer heads for the disease. (DNR photo)

A peer-reviewed report recently published in The Wildlife Professional revealed 16 state agencies with CWD-positive deer spent an average of $773,000 annually on efforts to address the disease.
