Franklin County Game Warden Trevor Shauf continues to look for an individual who possessed multiple protected birds in the Chambersburg area. Violations were addressed for individuals using bird lime to repel birds.
Juniata County Game Warden Timothy L. Wenrich responded to an incident about a game-law violation and ended up charging the complainant with multiple drug-possession charges.
Juniata County Game Warden Timothy L. Wenrich issued multiple citations to motorists and ATV riders who unlawfully traveled on closed roads on State Game Land 107.
Perry County Game Warden Kevin P. Anderson Jr. reports the PGC Tracking Team has recently provided assistance to multiple agencies across the commonwealth with searching for lost or missing people in wilderness areas.
York County Game Warden Scott Brookens reports illegal ATV and off-road vehicle use are still higher than usual. This includes an increase in people using streams and riverbanks as a location for off-roading.
York County Game Warden Justin Ritter reports a York County man faces charges for illegally dumping on state game lands.
Adams County Game Warden Taylor Knash reports that increased patrol in the Michaux State Forest has been occurring during the summer months.
Bedford County Game Warden Philip Bietsch reports a Cumberland, Md., man was charged with disorderly conduct when he was found in possession of a small amount of marijuana on a Hunter Access property in Hyndman.

Luzerne County Game Warden Dale Ambosie reports that there was increased ATV activity on State Game Land 119 over the Fourth of July weekend. Five citations were filed for unlawfully riding motorized vehicles in areas closed to such activity, and one citation was filed against an individual for the possession of alcohol. Several warnings were also issued.
Bradford County Game Warden Praveed Abraham participated in a summary appeal hearing in Monroe County regarding a person that was hunting in a baited area last rifle deer season. The individual harvested two antlerless deer on the opening day of the antlerless season. He was found guilty.
Bradford County Game Warden Praveed Abraham filed charges against an individual for littering on State Game Land 219.
Bradford County Game Warden Praveed Abraham is investigating a major dumping incident on State Game Land 219 in Warren Center, Bradford County. Individuals started a fire and left multiple cans and bottles in a parking lot. In addition to the baseline fine, a supplemental charge of $10 per individual item can be assessed. In this case, the additional fines will be requested and will be significant.
Columbia County Game Warden Justin Faus reports that a group of individuals were recently cited at the State Game Land 58 shooting range for violations that occurred earlier in the year. The total fine amounts for these violations approached $2,000. More recently, these individuals were caught again committing the same types of violations and will again be cited.
Northumberland County Game Warden Michael Workman reports citing an individual for feeding bears this summer at a backyard party. It is illegal to feed bears and elk anywhere in Pennsylvania.
Sullivan County Game Warden Rick Finnegan reports that several violations recently were encountered on State Game Land 13 near Lopez, including alcohol possession, campfires, littering and others.
Susquehanna County Game Warden Ben Rebuck reports investigating a case regarding a bear that was unlawfully shot in the spring of 2020 in Auburn Township. The bear was dumped near Meshoppen Stone, in Meshoppen. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Northeast Regional Office at 570-675-1143.
Susquehanna County Game Warden Mike Webb reports the public is reporting more bear sightings than in previous years, yet the number of bear complaints that he has been receiving remains similar to previous years.
Pike County Game Warden Patrick Sowers reports a significant decrease in the bear-related conflicts in Pike County compared to 2020. “Thank you to all those who are being bear-wise and avoiding conflicts,” Sowers said.

Berks County Game Warden Alex Murray reports two individuals were cited for procession of a controlled substance on the game lands. They were found in the parking lot sitting in their car.
Berks County Game Warden Ryan L. Zawada filed several citations for individuals operating ATVs on State Game Land 110.
Bucks County Game Warden Hannah Robinson reports investigating a tip regarding unlawful bear baiting.
Chester County Game Warden Matthew Johnson reports investigating two cases in the Exton/Downingtown area of foxes being found in out-of-season traps. In one case, the fox was found dragging the trap, which became free of its anchor. Neither trap was tagged, and both were the same type of foot-hold, a 1½ Bridger. Events like this give trapping a bad reputation. Dauphin County Game Warden Russell Kreider reports seeing many fawns near public roadways and wants to remind drivers to stay alert and slow down when they see wildlife.
Lancaster County Game Warden Greg Graham cited an individual for possession of marijuana on state game lands. In another incident, an individual suspected of camping was taken into custody after the discovery he had outstanding arrest warrants.
Lancaster County Game Warden Daniel Gibble reports a safe and successful July 4 weekend in southern Lancaster County. The Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission and the Pennsylvania Game Commission preformed a joint Operation Dry Water detail. This is a national year-round campaign to raise awareness about the dangers of boating under the influence. During the detail, 11 warnings and three citations were issued.
Lebanon County Game Warden Derek Spitler reports citing an individual for the unlawful possession of marijuana on State Game Land 156 in South Lebanon Township. The individual was using a state game lands parking lot to shower and clean up when a small amount of marijuana was located with an air socket chuck used as a pipe.
Lehigh County Game Warden Tyler Barnes reports filing multiple citations for individuals riding ATVs and dirtbikes on State Game Land 217. These individuals have pleaded guilty to the charges.
Montgomery County Game Warden Raymond Madden reports finding a lot more trash and items being discarded on state game lands recently. “Not only does this look unsightly, but it requires additional work from our habitat management crews to remove,” Madden said. “If you observe littering on state game lands, please report it immediately,” he said.
Northampton County Game Warden Brad Kreider reports a Bethlehem man tried chasing deer away from rose bushes late at night, but the deer remained. The man then decided to shoot at the deer, hitting it three times and killing it. Charges are pending.
Schuylkill County Game Warden Jason Macunas reports that a juvenile from Dauphin County recently pleaded guilty to killing a turkey after hours during the spring turkey season.
