Only a few updates, but on and around Lake Michigan, anglers are seeing a good bite for most all species.
In his weekly fishing synopsis, Glen Schmitt shares that after a warm weather week, anglers are turning more to rigging and crankbaits for walleyes, and smallmouth bass fishing has been phenomenal. Target the weeds for bass… and a little bit of everything else. And don’t forget the state’s rivers!
With water temperatures and water clarity increasing at a number of fisheries across the state, the bite is clearly improving, too, at a number of these fishing spots.
Few lines were cast in May, but June should see a flood of anglers, with fishing a mixed bag across the state.
The lake was designed specifically with fishing in mind.
Without a doubt, early-season pike action can be some of the best.
