Classic Bass Champions Tour championship to be decided on Pokegama

ZIMMERMAN, Minn. — Classic Bass, presenter of the Champions Tour, has announced that the 2017 tour championship will be contested on Lake Pokegama in Grand Rapids on Sept. 1.

According to a news release from Classic Bass, Pokegama is 6,612 acres, with a maximum depth of approximately 112 feet. The lake has a great diversity of structure from shallow, sloppy bays to deep mid-lake structure, and is an excellent fishery for both smallmouth and largemouth bass, according to the release.

After the four regular-season events – on Lake Mille Lacs, Lake Minnewaska, Gull Lake and the Whitefish Chain – 24 anglers will get a chance to fish for a Skeeter boat, trailer and Yamaha motor in the championship.
