Trail cam photo reveals fisher reproduction in southeast Minnesota

Lyle Fritz submitted this photo taken earlier this month via a trail camera in southeastern Houston County. His son places the cameras on a parcel of hunting land he leases, and a second trail cam captured the back of a fisher’s head at night (below).

DNR biologists say the large furbearer and member of the weasel family has been recolonizing southern Minnesota for several years.
