The channels in the Upper St. Croix area of the St. Croix River are producing muskies and pike. Muskies also are hitting bucktails and large plastic baits in 10 to 15 feet on Bald Eagle Lake and White Bear Lake. Spinnerbaits or sucker minnows are turning pike at Tanners Lake and bass on Demontreville Lake and Lake Jane.

Bass and pike continue to be caught on sucker minnows or plastics in less than 10 feet at Lake Ann, Steiger Lake, Pierson Lake, Lake Auburn, and Lake Minnewashta. You’ll find crappies on the hump straight out from the access on Lake Parley. Flathead and channel catfish are being found in the deep holes of the Minnesota River.

Bass are hitting spinnerbaits and plastics on the 10- to 15-foot weedlines on Kegg’s Reef and the back side of the island. The 12- to 15-foot weedlines on Kegg’s Reef and North Reef are holding crappies and sunfish. Walleyes are hitting jigs tipped with fatheads or leeches on Kegg’s Reef in 20 to 22 feet.
