Crappies moving in and out of the shallows with weather changes – North East Report

DULUTH AREA

The ice has been out for nearly two weeks, but the weather since that time has remained windy and cold, preventing panfish anglers from finding fish. Strong northeast winds have limited fishing opportunities along the north shore of Lake Superior. Some anglers have headed to the Brule River on the Wisconsin side looking for salmon, although reports have been limited.
