Archery harvest continues strong, Youth Hunt deemed a ‘success’

Illinois archery hunters had harvested 11,945 deer through Sunday (Oct. 11), according to DNR numbers released today. DNR Deer Program Manager Paul Shelton called the fharvest results “comparable figures from previous years.” Last year at the same time, hunters had taken on 8,958 deer. Michigan’s pheasant hunt opens in section of UP

Menominee, Mich. (AP) – The Upper Peninsula is getting the first crack at Michigan’s pheasants. The state’s annual hunting season for pheasants opens Saturday in Menominee County and portions of Delta, Dickinson, Iron and Marquette counties.
