St. Paul – When there’s $70 million in funds to spend on conservation and habitat, time spent discussing the definitions of three words – protect, restore, and enhance – might seem a waste. Allegheny River – Water was high Aug. 14, a result of heavy rainfall upriver and voluminous releases from the Kinzua Dam. Average catches of bass, walleyes and catfish were reported earlier that same week. The Venture Outdoors Downtown TriAnglers reported 31 anglers released 14 fish off the North Shore Aug. 12, including a 25-inch carp
Pittsburgh – Tyler Guerriero, of Lock Haven, had just one wish before heading to Marine Corps boot camp on Parris Island in September.
Lansing – Across the state, bowhunters can generally expect to find higher numbers of antlered deer than last year.
