Area wardens reported that hunting pressure in the area during the nine-day gun deer season varied from pockets of average to low. The deer season opened with sparse snow cover throughout the area that got a bit refreshed during the week. The temperatures during the season averaged in the mid-20s making for very comfortable hunting

Canandaigua Lake: Lake trout are still being caught by anglers fishing 100 to 150 feet of water. Yellow perch fishing has been good in 15 to 20 feet of water, on small minnows.
