John Miller at Bob’s Sport and Tackle (914-232-4085) in Katonah reports anglers are doing very well on largemouth bass throughout the NYC reservoir system. White perch are being taken at Croton Falls and Cross River reservoirs and, somewhere surprisingly, anglers are still picking up plenty of brown trout.

With backwater levels somewhat low and water temps hovering in the 80-degree range, much of the fishing action has moved to the mouths of the sloughs and channel edges. Bass fishing has been great, with largemouth and smallmouth bass being caught on small topwater baits and slop baits. Walleyes are being caught on weed edges on jigs and leeches, and the best panfish catches have been coming off of deep cribs.
