Shad regs revised: One-fish daily limit

Albany – DEC has abandoned its catch-and-release-only restrictions on American shad in the Hudson River and Marine District in favor of a one-fish-per-day limit. The announcement of the emergency regulations came earlier this month after some criticism from anglers who objected to the catch-and-release restrictions. Commercial fishing regulations were also tightened in the Hudson River.
