Zimmerman, Minn. The public is invited to participate in free guided bird and wildflower programs at Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge on the morning of Saturday, June 5.

The guided bird tour begins at 7 a.m. and will feature birds
like the red-eyed vireo and warblers; the wildflower tour begins at
10 a.m. and participants should expect to see flowers such as wild
lupine and columbine.

Pre-registration is required by calling Nancy Haugen, refuge
public use specialist, at (763) 389-3323, ext. 13. Participants for
both tours will meet at the old school house and car pool to nearby
trails and Wildlife Drive.
