The calendar has turned to May and the weather has started to stabilize somewhat. So has this helped angling success?

The inconsistent weather continued to impact the fishing success around the area this past week. Hopefully with better weather ahead, things will start to rebound.

Some of the glacial lakes in South Dakota, as well as the border waters of Big Stone and Traverse, offer lots of space to move about and catch walleyes from shoreline locations.

The spring weather still isn’t cooperating, but that hasn’t stopped the bite. The one thing the weather has impacted is the number of people going out. Check out where the bite is happening. Video Courtesy

The weather continues to play havoc with the fishing around the area, and despite the cooler temps, the walleye spawn is reaching its peak in many areas.
