This week, many anglers have reported success jigging with frozen emerald shiners, specifically around the areas extending from Pine Island to Long Point.
Jigging continues to pick up as the waters cool.
Jigging has really picked up in recent days. Jig colors that are producing well include gold, orange, chartreuse, and pink.
The deep mud is holding big numbers of fish – 30 to 35 feet of water is the norm right now for depth.
Most anglers are getting their walleyes with spinners and crawlers.
