It’s a 176-acre, aesthetically appealing, remote lake with a good population of warmwater species including muskies, pike, bass, and panfish.
Walleye fishing has been good up and down the Lower Peninsula from Lake Erie and the Detroit River to North Lake Leelanau and Lake Charlevoix.
The technique allows you to fish over fish that school deep, such as on humps, rock piles, or outside weed edges. However, it can be cast and fished horizontally, as well.
Walleye fishing on Lake Erie continues to be off the charts, with anglers sometimes reporting limits in less than two hours of fishing.
Most anglers fish slip boppers and leeches for limit catches of saugeyes. There is an excellent population of medium-sized fish in the 12-16-inch range. Saugeye netting results show a good population of adult saugeyes available
