On Lake Michigan, perch fishing was disrupted by the change in weather but some anglers had been catching them here and there out of Michigan City. A few lake trout were showing up near shore
With weather patterns changing almost daily, water temperatures have been jumping all over the place and that seems to have had a negative impact on what had been some excellent walleye fishing across the state.
Recent rains in New York have sure been beneficial to trout waters for late-season anglers, especially on the streams.
Windy conditions continue to hamper fishing, especially on the Great Lakes and the bigger inland lakes. River fishing improved after the rain and much cooler temperatures, but will most likely slow again with the warmup.

Those who have kept their boats out are catching fish – walleyes and crappies mostly, along with some bass and muskies.
