With water temperatures and water clarity increasing at a number of fisheries across the state, the bite is clearly improving, too, at a number of these fishing spots.

Cooler water temperatures are contributing to some trout fishing action in places like the Adirondacks, where such conditions could prolong the season for anglers who typically back off when the waters warm.

The bait shops have been busy with high numbers of anglers getting out and experiencing really good fishing.

Once again there’s really no wrong way to fish the lake – it’s all resulting in fish in the boat.

Walleyes continue to be found shallow, especially during low-light periods of the day, but more fish are being caught in those mid-depth areas – 12 to 15 feet or so throughout the day.

Warming water temperatures have really turned on the walleye bite – not just on Lake Bemidji, but across the greater Bemidji area. Fishing for other species off the carts, too.

Tactics for hooking into a thresher, mako or other toothy species.

Fishing action is heating up across the state with anglers reporting very good bites from walleye, pike, panfish and bass, as well as trout and salmon.

Walleye limits on Lake Erie continue to be a regular occurrence, and the shoreline night bite for walleyes all along the north coast continues to be solid.
