Goal was to collect 1,774 quarts of walleye eggs to produce 158 million walleye fry, and DNR collected 2,030 quarts — 249 million eggs — to eclipse goal by 14 percent, DNR says.
The goal is to collect enough fish to hatch 158 million walleye fry that will supply Iowa lakes and fish hatcheries.
