The walleye bite has been getting better as the weather improves.

Niagara Bar has been the place to be this past week for a variety of species, including king salmon, coho salmon, lake trout, brown trout, and the occasional walleye.

A lot to be excited for as we slide towards targeting walleyes.

This lake is giving up steady bass action, mostly in waters less than 15 feet deep.

Good numbers of steelhead were caught over the last week following a push of fresh fish here.

The spring bite is picking up on this fishery. For perch and crappie, try jigging with minnows or small plastics in around 20 feet of water.

Plenty of people hit the water and had decent success despite the cooler water temperatures. Jigs and minnows or plastics still remain the most common presentation.

Salmon and trout action has been great on Lake Ontario this week.

It’s browns in tighter, lakers at mid-depths, and kings and cohos mixed in here.
