Idaho Fish and Game said wildlife officers killed 206 elk last year in an effort to prevent the animals from eating thousands of dollars worth of crops.
Just shy of 28,000 Wisconsin residents entered the drawing for one of four once-in-a-lifetime elk tags. The winners are from the cities of Appleton, Junction City, Marengo and McFarland.
Instead returns to 10 permits, as in each of the previous two seasons.
Hunters would be allowed to kill only six bull elk in 2020 under a proposal the state Department of Natural Resources board is considering.
