Two times in the last four years, hunters from the northern Pennsylvania camp have harvested 10 black bear.
An interesting experience in southwestern Wisconsin, to be sure, but not one that can top the incident a friend had while turkey hunting up north.

That’s about 10 percent fewer than in 2015, but slightly more than the recent five-year average.
Hunters took 697 black bears during the 81 days of the two-part early and late bear seasons. There also were no hunting-related shooting incidents.
