Game bird numbers should look good this fall for ruffed grouse, pheasants and turkeys considering the breeding and nesting conditions that passed through Wisconsin this year, according to state wildlife officials.
LAKE MICHIGAN/METRO AREA LAKES Largemouth bass fishing will be best around piers and slop, or in deeper water. Wacky worms, plastic frogs, rigged worms, swim jigs, shallow running crankbaits and nightcrawlers will work best around
GREEN BAY/APPLETON AREA Walleye fishing continues strong on the west side of the bay, with some nice catches reported in the Oconto, Pensaukee and Geano Beach areas. Crankbaits seem to be the bait of choice.
