Walleyes and whitefish were being seen on underwater cameras in good numbers out from the mouth of this river and along the pier by late-ice anglers.

Northern counties holding onto ice, and panfishing is good. Here’s a look at the Wisconsin fishing report on March 14, 2025.

Areas to the north of the mouth of the river here were best for walleyes and whitefish.

What’s happening on the ice in the Hayward area lakes, Chequamegon Bay and Lake Superior.

Anglers fishing out of here reported having success catching whitefish in 65 feet of water by using plastic jigs.

Above average temperatures encourage panfishermen. Here’s a look at the Wisconsin fishing report on Feb. 28, 2025.

Most anglers were targeting northern pike south of the river along the shoreline here. Large dead baits and live minnows were working.
