The number of good walleyes being caught has definitely decreased because of the heat, but hopefully, expected cooler temps will improve the bite.
Open-water season is here – but so is ice fishing.
The Missouri River continues to be the place people are heading as limits of walleyes are common.
Early season crappie anglers are finding success on inland waters, and jiggers on the reef complex of the Western Basin on Lake Erie are catching walleyes.
The roller-coaster weather has definitely impacted the fishing – the bite has definitely been inconsistent, but with this exception.
The weather over the weekend definitely limited the number of people going out, but there were plenty of people heading to the Missouri River on Monday. So how’s the fishing?
The river walleye spawning runs on the Maumee and Sandusky rivers are beginning to start in earnest and inland waters are heating up for spring crappies.
