Recent warm temperatures have definitely affected the ice conditions on most area lakes, but many anglers are having quite a bit of success on the Missouri River of late.

It’s Thanksgiving week and there’s ice on many lakes and sloughs – but are they fishable? And if so, what’s the fishing outlook?

Ice anglers, we may have to wait a bit as Mother Nature has given us a few decent days for late-season open-water fishing. Here’s what that might mean for those late-fall anglers.
