While the sight of a frozen river or stream may look pretty, the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission recently warned people to stay off of moving bodies of water that have frozen this winter.

The Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners voted to preliminarily approve regulations that will guide the agency’s Certified Hunter Program, which connects hunters and landowners as a means of addressing crop-damage concerns.

The Pennsylvania Game Commissions Northeast Region will host a four-part wildlife educational series that’s open to the public and designed to provide engaging informational programs on wildlife and conservation.

Pennsylvania game commissioners at their Jan. 24 meeting, approved 13 real estate transactions – eight land acquisitions and five land exchanges – that would add more than 1,125 acres to state game lands.

With the former prohibition on Sunday hunting now removed from Pennsylvania law, Sundays can be included within hunting seasons.
