Fall patterns are setting up for crappies, walleyes, saugeyes, and muskies.

Lake Erie anglers got blown off the big lake this week by gale-force winds, but northeast Ohio steelhead fishermen are just about ready to dip their toes.

The fall crappie bite is on, and papermouths are relating to structure in shallow water right now.
Blue catfish are on anglers’ radars in the Buckeye State, particularly on Central Ohio’s Hoover Reservoir.

Catfishing has been the bright spot on Ohio anglers’ radar in the past two weeks. Channels, flatheads, and blues are all being caught with regularity.

The lazy days of late summer are upon us and for fishermen that means they’re loading up for catfish, both channels and flatheads.

Yellow perch fishing has slowed down somewhat on Lake Erie, but walleye and even steelhead are taking their place in anglers’ creels.

Anglers are doing well in the Western Basin for this “Lake Erie Gold” species.

Ahead of the traditional fall run on yellow perch on Lake Erie, anglers are doing well now in the Western Basin.
