Yellow perch fishing on Lake Erie has slowed a bit over the past two weeks, but inland crappies are coming on.

The annual fall yellow perch bite on Lake Erie has started a bit earlier this year.

Yellow perch fishing on Lake Erie has slowed a bit since our last report but walleye anglers continue to do well.

On Lake Erie, anglers on the Western Basin are producing quick limits of walleyes by the usual trolling Bandit method. A pleasant surprise has been the yellow perch bite.

The yellow perch fishing season on Lake Erie, which typically ramps up in the fall, has started a bit earlier.

The word of the week is “deep” – as in anglers are fishing deep on inland reservoirs for saugeyes and crappies.

One of the highlights of this fishing report is the bass bite on East and West Harbors on Lake Erie.
