When the wind cooperates, the Niagara Bar fishing has been hot.

Anglers are still into brown trout and now seeing a few more steelhead. Atlantic salmon action is now more spread out, but hook-ups can still be expected.

The fall perch bite is on here. Panfish can be caught in 15-20 feet of water using minnows or small hair jigs.

Hunting is where many are investing their time. Here’s a look at the New York fishing and hunting report on Nov. 20, 2025.

The Lower Niagara River has seen plenty of action over the past week with high numbers of anglers, but fish are still cooperating throughout the system.

There are great opportunities for brown trout and Atlantic salmon and steelhead angling this time of the year.

The brown trout fishing at here has been incredible, with some anglers reporting double-digit catches.

The passing cold front and snowy conditions may have made for a little tougher fishing action lately, but plenty of anglers are still doing good on Atlantics on the Oak.

Browns are the number one target here, with beads in various shades of green or chartreuse producing the best numbers of bites.
