The water has cooled down a lot over the past week, so expect the fall feedbags to be on big-time moving forward.

We definitely felt the chill this week and things are progressing into cold-water patterns.

Here’s what’s happening with the bite in and around Bemidji.

Walleye action continues to improve as the fall fishing season moves forward.

Nice reports from Long Point, to Zippel Bay to Morris Point Gap over to Lighthouse Gap.

Fall showed up this week – frost on the ground, plummeting temps, more clothes … We’ve been beating the bank for bass in lakes and targeting wintering areas already for bass in the rivers. Moving

Water temps have dropped into upper 50s and bite has really started to pick up. Keep your eyes on the bait fish.

Anglers who get out are doing well, especially for walleyes and crappies, as water temperatures continue to drop.

With cooling water, most anglers are catching fish anchored up and jigging with fatheads and frozen shiners.
