Fish are definitely moving into their summer patterns – just took a little longer than usual.

Weeds remain the key to multi-species angling success. Here’s a look at the Minnesota fishing report across the state on July 2, 2025.

The jig bite remains strong. Many anglers are still anchoring up or spot-locking and working a jig tipped with a frozen emerald shiner.

Checking out Leech Lake walleyes, Lake Minnetonka bass, Lake Wapogasset everything.

Weather fronts make for tough walleye bite. Here’s a look at the Minnesota fishing report across the state on June 25, 2025.

A notable bite took place this week along Pine Island, with walleyes being caught in 12 to 15 feet of water.

Things are really starting to warm up and summer patterns are becoming more consistent. A lot of bass are biting and the walleyes are still playing (somewhat) nice. Some transitional things happening.
