Walleye action was probably as good this past week as it has been all winter in many areas, especially during low-light periods. Panfish and northern pike seem to be biting as well.

Walleye action was probably as good this past week as it has been all winter in many areas, especially during low-light periods. Panfish and northern pike seem to be biting as well.

Overall, walleye and panfish action has been a bit off, but should improve as more lakes or areas within them become accessible.

A good amount of snowfall across a good portion of the state keeping anglers on their toes.

As more and more anglers are able to start getting out, their finding fish.

It sounds as though ice thickness is improving a bit across the state, but it isn’t getting as thick as most people thought it would over the past week. In addition, slush on top of

Ice fishing opportunities mixed, mostly depending on who got hit hard by the recent snows and who didn’t.
