With warmer temps and rain recently, fresh steelhead showed up, improving the fishing here.
Streams have cleared up and warmed up, improving steelhead fishing here.
On Lake Michigan, most shore fishing areas are ice-free, but harbors are muddy after the rain and snowmelt. As they clear up, coho, whitefish, and brown trout should be available to anglers.
Many lakes in northern Indiana are freezing with this cold weather, allowing ice anglers to get out. Channels and protected bays have better ice that main lakes, due to all the high winds. A warm-up
Perch anglers are finding success in this area on Lake Michigan.
Lake trout are being caught in this fishery. Use blade baits, jigging spoons, and plastics that imitate fish jigged near the bottom.

Browns are spread through the Oak and guys at the dam had good action recently.
Lake trout are showing up for shore anglers here, along with a few whitefish.
