Indian River Deer hunting has been pretty good and bucks are chasing does. Grouse and woodcock hunting has been fair and waterfowlers report good success with lots of local and flight birds in the area.
Pickford Area Deer numbers are up and archers report very good success. Bucks are rutting and does are on the run. Hunting for diver ducks has been very good at Cedarville and in Raber Bay.
Lake Erie Big smallmouth bass were feeding shallow in recent weeks, with jerkbaits and crankbaits the best bet. Nice numbers were reported up to 5½ pounds. Lake Erie tributaries Steelhead season started with good runs,
