ALEXANDRIA AREA Most lakes have six to 10 inches of ice so ATVs are being used. Look for walleyes on Lake Darling in 16 to 20 feet, on Lake Ida in 24 to 29 feet,
LAKE MINNETONKA AREA Anglers are finding four to six inches of ice on Lake Minnetonka and walking to their fishing spots. Look to the bigger bays for walleyes in 16 to 22 feet during low-light
FAIRMONT AREA This area received about seven inches of snow last week and although some slush did develop, most lakes remain accessible by foot or on select lakes via ATVs. Perch continue to be caught
DULUTH AREA Six to 10 inches of ice is common on most lakes and ATVs have started being used for travel. The Highbanks area of Fish Lake is giving up crappies 10 to 14 feet.
Buckeye Lake (Fairfield, Licking, and Perry counties) Lake levels are at normal winter pool. Anglers might try any of the creeks running into the lake, particularly the south fork of the Licking River, for saugeyes
Sandusky River (Sandusky, Seneca counties) Anglers can catch crappies, white bass, smallmouth bass and maybe a few walleyes above the Ballville dam during the winter months. Throw in-line spinnerbaits for smallmouths on the stretch of
Pleasant Hill Lake (Richland and Ashland counties) Anglers are catching saugeyes below the spillway by casting jigs into the current. Best colors in tails has been white, yellow, or chartreuse. After dark, try casting Husky
Clendening Lake (Harrison County) Just like it does at this time every year during drawdown, saugeye fishing pressure is picking up on the bridges of this 1,800-acre Harrison County lake. Fish are being caught here
