Lake Erie — A northeast wind and huge mayfly hatch slowed the fishing in early June. The wind dropped water temperatures from 64 to 54 and turned the lake over, and the hatch put plenty
Wilmore Dam (Cambria County) — Nice catches of crappies were reported in recent weeks. Glendale Lake (Cambria County) — The crappie bite was hit or miss in recent weeks. Colver Reservoir — Perch and bluegills
Fishing Creek (Clinton County) — Low, clear water in the 50s was reported June 7. Tan Caddis (14-16), Craneflies (14-16), and midges (black, cream, 24) were hatching. Sulphurs and Slate Drakes were on the wane.
Little Juniata River (Blair County) — As of June 7, rainfall raised water levels but left conditions dirty. Nymphing with larger, brighter crawlers, Caddis and Sulphur patterns was effective, as was stripping streamers around structure.
Lake Wallenpaupack (Pike County) — Walleyes up to 8-plus pounds also were reported from shore at night in early June. Largemouth and smallmouth bass were released on spider jigs and other lures, with excellent fishing
Lake Minsi (Northampton County) — Bass and bluegills were reported. Little Lehigh River (Lehigh County) — Regular stockings made for productive angling through early June. Caddis, baetis and sulphurs were hatching in the midafternoons, and
