GREEN BAY/APPLETON AREA All along the Fox River fishing pressure remains slow, but there were a few more anglers out looking for muskies than last week. Anglers were using crankbaits (perch and other dark colors)
DOOR PENINSULA AND KEWAUNEE AREA The Sturgeon Bay ship canal had some skim ice forming, as did Sawyer Harbor and the back bays of Little Sturgeon, which makes it that much tougher to get out.
ASHLAND AREA In Bayfield County, woodcock moved out of the area ahead of the gun deer season, but grouse hunters are still having much success. Though grouse numbers appear to be down this year, those
FARIBAULT AREA You’ll find at least 10 inches of ice on area lakes. French Lake is producing walleyes and crappies in 22 to 24 feet, while Cedar Lake is giving up crappies and northern pike
FAIRMONT AREA Lake conditions are good with nine to 11 inches of ice and very little snow on top of it. Wilmont Lake started giving up perch, crappies, and walleyes in less than five feet.
ALEXANDRIA AREA Lake Le Homme Dieu and Lake Darling are kicking out walleyes and crappies in 15 to 18 feet. On Lake Ida and Lake Miltona, walleyes are hitting spoons in 18 to 20 feet
LAKE MILLE LACS East – Some resorts are reporting up to 10 inches of ice close to shore and in the bays with much less ice and slush further out. No travel of any kind
