ALEXANDRIA AREA Look for suspended crappies over 11 feet on Lake Mary at night and at Reno Lake in 20 feet or more. Crappies and sunfish continue to hit in seven to 15 feet on
Crab Orchard Lake: Bluegills are being caught on worms. Crappies fair on minnows. Bass action has picked up on the west side, but still slow near shorelines. Baldwin Lake: Bluegills getting better on worms. Warm-water
Powerton Lake: Channel catfish and blue catfish have been biting on baby shad and cut baits. Hybrid striped bass are being caught on minnows. Anglers are not having much luck with white bass or stripers.
Fox River: Bass, especially smallmouth, are hanging in shallow areas where there is open water. Look for them in some of the warm-water discharges found along the river. Minnows work well with a small hook
