This is the last weekend of the inland walleye and pike season and you’ll want to concentrate most of your walleye fishing efforts to low-light and overnight periods.

We’ve been busy traveling, but got some time on this last weekend. Here’s how it went.

North anglers still on ice, south opening up.

Things slowing down, but still some decent reports from across the state. And the hot bite? It’s perch. Here’s where they’re catching ’em.

Downsizing lures when weather fronts move through and the bite turns negative.

Crappies and walleyes tend to be most active during low-light periods and overnight.

As we wrap up February, there remains some good ice out there.

Fishing has been fair to good for a number of species at fisheries across the state.

Ice fishing had a good run this winter in Ohio, but the prospects for getting on the hard water are fading fast with warm temperatures and rain.
