Definitely breaking toward spring so get those cold-water steelhead drifts in while you can.
Steelhead fishing is improving a bit and good action has been reported on many rivers.
The river walleye runs in northwest Ohio on the Maumee and Sandusky rivers aren’t far off now.
Conditions for steelhead fishing in Erie-area tributaries were described to be spectacular.
Ice is all but gone on most fisheries. But if you can get to the fish, the bite has been fair to good.
