Welcome back to open water, and starting things off with some crappie action. No doubt we’re off to a slow start in regards to weather and conditions, but open water is here and opportunities present
Rain … wind … and walleye. Here’s how they were catching ’em.
Anglers patiently wait for bass bite to spring.
Generally, the boaters have been having good action in 10-50 feet on Lake Michigan, but don’t be afraid to get away from the pack, especially if chasing kings.
The persistent cool and windy conditions have prevented anglers from getting out and start looking for panfish in those traditional spring spots.
For the most part, water temps remain cool – as does the bite.
The walleye river runs on the Maumee and Sandusky rivers are still hanging on, with a push of some big female fish in the past few days.
