Recent reports from the American Sportfishing Association and the Sportsmen’s Alliance Foundation show that hunting, target shooting and recreational fishing generate billions in retail sales, job creation, and conservation funding.
The newly released series of reports from Southwick Associates and partners provides updated insights into the economic contributions of these outdoor activities at the federal, state, and congressional district levels.

Wildfires, prescribed burns keep New York fire crews hopping

New York State Forest Rangers and Fish and Wildlife staff have had a busy spring when it comes to woodland fires. Record 3,000 students participating in New York clay target league

Another New York State High School Clay Target League season is in progress this year with 3,058 student athletes from 174 New York  schools. That number breaks a spring participation record, which has continued to happen as the sport grows in popularity across the state.
Supported by hundreds of coaches, team staff, and other volunteers, the league’s nine-week spring season began in April and will conclude May 25th.
