Waterville, Minn. Debris from trees downed in a recent ice storm prompted the Minnesota DNR to close Sakatah Lake State Park, located 14 miles west of Faribault.

The park was expected to re-open on Feb 7 or 8, depending on how quickly clean-up work progresses. A candlelight ski scheduled for Feb. 10 may be re-scheduled due to debris remaining on trails. Duluth, Minn. The Duluth Boat, Sports and Travel Show, which begins Feb. 14 and ends Feb. 18 affords sportsmen the opportunity to treat their Valentine to a new boat or perhaps travel plans to an exotic location.

The show, which also features seminars, stage entertainment by Da Blooze Bros., and other events, takes place at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center.
